Dear friend,

As you are aware, the Manav Ekta Mission is organizing the Walk of Hope—a padayatra for peace and harmony from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 2015. Led by Sri M, The Walk of Hope is an exercise to restore the innate spirituality of the nation—rekindling true faith and rejuvenating the spirit of hope, love, peace, harmony and oneness.

Manav Ekta Mission invites your esteemed presence to the flag-off ceremony to be held on 12 January 2015, at Manav Ekta Maidan, Zero Point, Kanyakumari. 12 January is also the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a great prophet of interfaith harmony.

The flag-off ceremony will feature bhajans, invocation, inter-faith prayers, theme songs and also addresses by Sri M and other dignitaries including the Chief Guest, Dr. Karan Singh. Prior to the flag-off ceremony, Sri M will visit the Vivekananda Rock to garland the statue of the great seer.

My Life Ring

I am learning something new and as a part of the exercise we were introduced to My Life Ring activity. It had such profound effects that I decided to post it on my blog too.

Exercise Instruction

Draw your Life Ring. You can use the template above, or create your own template. Focus on roughly 5-9 major life arenas where you will invest your time, with self, family, work, and community (SFWC). Put your “master in the middle”; this is the primary driving force behind all your decisions – and in every life, there can only be one master. If you try to have more than one master, eventually your Life will intersect events so that you have an “identity quake”, and must choose your primary master. Under each arena bubble, list those most important habits that you will commit to each day or each week. This is not simply a “to do list”, but a list of habits. When the Life Ring has a clear “master in the middle”, 5-9 arenas, and a short list of habits under each arena, it is complete.

Here is a sample but don’t let this color your imagination and vision. Go on, share what you think is main force behind your decisions and choices.

Would love to see what other thinks and come up with.
